Aim of the track

Based on the familiar format of academic conferences, the Research & Science track offers a series of short presentations from data science researchers and social scientists on their current work in the area. On both conference days, we are presenting the results of innovative research into data mining, machine learning, data management, and the entire spectrum of data science, as well as current quantitative and qualitative research, examining the application of data to find new and innovative solutions for societal and economic challenges. Invited are all contributions in the area of data science in general, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, industry, and production 4.0, as well as computational social sciences. In line with the overarching theme of iDSC 2023, contributions concerning data-driven applications and solutions to the area of sustainability are especially welcome. Papers will be published and should present finished or ongoing work and should not exceed 8 pages.

Submitting

Papers must be written in English and must not exceed 8 pages, including tables, figures, references, and appendices. Submissions that are simultaneously submitted to this conference and other events or publication venues, as well as submissions that do not utilize the correct formatting template, will be automatically rejected. Submissions will be selected based on their originality, timeliness, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. The submissions should be regarded as a commitment that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors has to register and attend the conference to present the work on-site. Accepted and presented papers will be included in the iDSC proceedings. Reviews are double-blind.

Notification of Acceptance:Due to delays in the review process we expect the results to be available latest Monday, 20th of March.
Submission of Camera Ready Paper:April 5th, 2023
